We can go skatting on canal, or go watch the movies:)

By the way, today, It's -30 degree in Ottawa because of wind chill..Unbelievable...

A Happy New Year

hi guys!
a happy new year! how was your holiday? I hope you had a wonderful time.

During the break, I was super busy because I had a lot of things to do. Of course those were not study!!
First, I went to Toronto with my roommate. She invited me to come with her for Christmas, that's so nice of her. Her family is Italian, so her mom cooked real Italian food, and they were so nice that I was eating like a pig(I'm pretty sure I've gained a lot during the break..).
It was my first time to experience real Christmas, and I realized it is really nice to spend time with family.

Then, after Christmas, my japanese friends who are from kansaigaidai and I went to Niagara together. Niagara Falls was amazing!!! I don't know how to describe it, but it was great anyway. just too bad we couldn't go inside the falls because of this winter season. We were so excited to be able to see the united states the other side of the Falls.

After staying 2 days in Niagara, we went to NYC!! It took us about 10 hours from Toronto by bus, it was so tiring. worse, when we had to do immigration things, the officer was so mean that we were a bit pissed off. But as soon as we arrived in NY, we totally forgat about it! NY was CRAZY! Espacially, people went crazy at the countdown. Celebrating new years, we went to japanese restaurant called OMEN, which is famous restaurant in Kyoto as well. We had sake with ochoko.

It was my holiday. It went by so fast, and I can't believe now I'm in school and got so many things to do again...

Party for Exchange Students

Hi guys!
last night we had a big party in the pub on campus!
It was really nice because I haven't seen some of my international friends for a long time since we have no classses together.
We talked and talked over a lot of glasses of beer, and we had a wonderful time! Just too bad some of my friends are going home after this semester.....
But anyways, I really enjoyed the party before I start the paper, and prepare for the exam.
I hope you guys are also having fun!!

Snow

COLD!!

This is the view I always see from my room. I took the left one on Sep, and the right one on Nov. It'll be covered with snow in Jan or Dec. I'm so scared of winter in Ottawa. it's still nov, but the lowest temprature was -3 last night and we had the first snow yeasterday. And today was really sunny, still cold. the weather is changeable. This IS Ottawa.

I finished my big assignments this week, so now I can go out this weekend! I'm so happy:) Still, I have two more assignments for this term though. But anyways, I went to the Karaoke pub last night!! It was a little bit different from japanese ones coz we pick up the songs we like, and jot them down on the paper, and hand it to the peson who works at the pub. Then, she randomly chooses who's goning to sing. So you have to wait your turn to come, it depends on your luck. And if you sing, all the people in the pub hear you sing, so imagine you sing at 宴会会場! I didn't sing this time coz there is no Japanese songs except for SUKIYAKI...
And some people had a birthday party there, and they sing a song for the brithday girl. It was so sweet, and It reminds me of you guys sang '手紙' by kobukuro for us.

Nothing different....

Hi guys! How are you doing?
I think I'm doing ok, but it's getting REALLY colder, so...you know.....anyways! I've been really busy because of my tons of assignments, but I've barely managed them for now. Actually, I got a critical review back for women's studies today! I got....B- ... not so bad! I'll try to do better for next one. The due dates of two of assignmnets are extenced, so I have more time to work on next critical review for W studies, but the other one for Canadian Studies, I have to write 10 pages proposal, so I'm so scared...
I want to be free from these assignments, and go to Toronto for Chritmas soon!!

By the way, my parents'll come and visit me in December! I'm so happy to hear they'll come! Before I came here, I thought I wouldn't miss my family, but actually, I miss them so much. Though it'll be during the exam week, I can' wait to show them around Ottawa, and make them try Beaver's tail!
